Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Tech Product Partners Kft. (“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data when you use removebackgroundvideo.com, the web application and the Chrome extension (together, the “Service”). We act as the data controller and process personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Data we collect

Account data: your email address and login details when you create an account.
Uploaded content: the videos you upload and the processed results.
Payment data: purchases are processed by Stripe. We receive the payment status, the amount, the product purchased and limited card details (such as the card brand and last four digits). We never see or store your full card number.
Usage data: pages visited, features used, minutes processed, device and browser information, and IP address.
Communications: messages you send to our support.

How we use your data

To provide the Service: process your videos, let you download results and keep track of your minute balance (performance of a contract).
To take payments and keep accounting records (contract and legal obligation).
To prevent fraud and abuse, and keep the Service secure (legitimate interest).
To understand how the Service is used and improve it (legitimate interest or consent, where required).
To answer your support requests (contract or legitimate interest).

Your videos

We use uploaded videos only to remove their background and deliver the result to you. We do not use your videos to train AI models, and we do not publish or share them except with the service providers that process them on our behalf. Uploaded and processed files are stored only as long as needed to process them and let you download the result, and are deleted automatically within 24 hours.

We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the Service, under data processing agreements:

Stripe — payment processing.
Hosting and cloud infrastructure providers — hosting the website, the application and processed files.
AI processing providers — computing infrastructure used to remove backgrounds.
Analytics and security providers — website analytics and bot protection.

Some providers are located outside the European Economic Area. In those cases we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

We may also disclose data when required by law.

How long we keep data

Videos: as described in “Your videos” above.
Account data: while your account is active, and deleted after you ask us to delete the account.
Payment and accounting records: as long as required by tax and accounting law.
Support messages: as long as needed to resolve your request.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email support@removebackgroundvideo.com. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority; in Hungary this is the National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH).

Children

The Service is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page and change the “Last updated” date.
